ECAT Profile Training

The Every Child a Talker (ECAT) child monitoring tool enables practitioners to assess the developmental level of children’s speech, language and communication. The tool was developed as part of the National Strategies ECAT programme and continues to be used by many local authorities and speech and language departments.

The session will:

• introduce the monitoring tool and how to use it
• focus on how to effectively assess a child’s speech, language and communication
• highlight the importance of regular monitoring and review
